All production is subject to a quality control system that guarantees traceability from the moment the seed is sown until the product reaches the consumer.

    The international good agricultural practice standard. Covers food safety, traceability, environment and worker welfare on the farm.

  • Packhouse

    BRCGS

    Global food safety standard required by British and international retail groups in order to pack under their own label.

  • Packhouse

    IFS

    International Featured Standards, the benchmark for German and French retail groups buying private-label produce.

Current certificates and their numbers are provided on request from the quality department.

How we control quality

Six controls

Where it is checked

Traceability rests on records, not good intentions. These are the points where the lot number is written down and checked.

  1. 01

    Seed lot

    Every sowing is tied to a specific lot and plot. That is the starting point of the record.

  2. 02

    Field record

    Irrigation, treatments and pre-harvest intervals are recorded per plot, which is what GLOBALG.A.P. audits.

  3. 03

    Packhouse intake

    The batch is identified on arrival and carries its number through the whole packing line.

  4. 04

    Product control

    Weight, size, appearance and temperature before palletising. The last filter before dispatch.

  5. 05

    Cold chain

    Pre-cooling and cold store before loading, with controlled temperature all the way to destination.

  6. 06

    Dispatch

    Every pallet leaves labelled, so that from the destination you can trace back to the plot.
